On June 7, 2006 Sharp announced new high brightness LCD projectors for classrooms and conference rooms. The new models, the XG-C330X and XGC430X, feature high brightness of up to 4,000 ANSI Lumens for a bright picture in even difficult lighting environments.

Other features of note include:

• four optional lenses (short throw, telephoto zoom 1.29x, telephoto zoom 1.52x and telephoto zoom 1.41x) allowing set up flexibility;
• ImageACE Resizing and autoSYNC, to ensure that projected images are uniform, regardless of signal source;
• wireless remote with built-in mouse control, page up/down and image freeze, allowing the user to advance slides in a presentation from virtually anywhere in the room;
• a sturdy “Notevision® Lockdown” bolt to mount the projector to a ceiling through its optical block;
• a “key code activation” to prevent unauthorized operation;
• three polysilicon LCDs for superior, uniform high-quality images and higher color saturation;
• native XGA resolution (1024 x 768);
• extensive connectivity options including a built-in LAN terminal;
• a built-in RJ-45 LAN connection and Web server that allows direct control from the desktop to the projector without special software;
• Sharp’s Display Manager Software which can connect one or more LAN-enabled projectors to a network for remote control, asset management and diagnostics. The software’s self-diagnosing system forwards error notifications to a control PC or emails an error message.
