Mitsubishi’s New, Robust LDT321V and LDT371V LCD Monitors for Commercial Video Display

June 7, 2006 – Mitsubishi Digital Electronics America’s Presentation Products Division, introduced its new line of value LCD monitors, the LDT321V and LDT371V (32inch and 37inch respectively), specifically designed for video displays and moving text in retail environments, movie theaters, information kiosks and other commercial venues.

The monitors come with some important features for those undertaking commercial video display:

  • more robust features than conventional plasma displays for improved durability and reliability
  • performance characteristics designed for reflective glare situations
  • inbuilt scheduling controls
  • longer LCD panel warranty coverage
  • extended warranty service hours and
  • onsite service and repairs

The LDT321V and LDT371V have been designed to perform well in store windows, storefronts or any venue where bright ambient light can diminish video quality through reflective glare on the monitor surface. Importantly, the Mitsubishi LDT monitors/video displays can be seen through windows with minimal glare. The LCD technology provides the depth and detail necessary for the most demanding video environments.

“Our LCD monitors are designed to last longer and be more durable over time than regular plasma displays or regular flat panel TVs,” said Frank Anzures, product manager, Mitsubishi Digital Electronics America’s Presentation Products Division. “Anyone who wants to show vibrant and clear images in a commercial environment should consider them as the solution of choice.”

The LDT321V and LDT371V have been designed for maximum LCD brightness and color purity for superior video output. The longer-lasting performance inherent in LCD monitors is backed by a high contrast ratio of 1200:1, for greater detail and depth of image.

A convenient feature for retailers will be the inbuilt scheduling controls for tasks including easy planning of on/off, presentation timing and image transitions. Menus and control information can be accessed through a RS232 connector using third party software.

The new monitors offer proprietary color adjustment for precise color control adjusted for perfect color reproduction and control.<.p>

“Our new monitors make our whole line of large screen displays more robust,” said James Chan, director, product marketing, Mitsubishi Digital Electronics America’s Presentation Products Division. “With the LDT321V and LDT371V, our dealers give their customers more options, even those with tight budgets. Now customers won’t have to compromise and use a non-LCD display for their applications.”

Mitsubishi Pricing, Availability, Warranty

Mitsubishi have stated that the LDT321V and LDT371V monitors will be available in August and June respectively at competitive market prices through authorized Mitsubishi dealers.

The monitors will be covered by Mitsubishi’s new MEMO (Mitsubishi Express Monitor Onsite Service) Warranty Program, which brings extended service hours, longer LCD panel warranty coverage and onsite services and repairs to its large-screen LCD monitor line. The program features a dedicated toll-free 24/7 technical support line (888-593-9037) with reliable and knowledgeable US-based technical support reps for set-up help, problem solving and troubleshooting.
