HP and Warner Bros. Collaboration Revives Old Films

Warner Bros take seriously the preservation of the many important films in their library archive. Removing imperfections in archived films has previously involved technicians tediously removing each with a mouse.

In a collaboration with HP researchers they have developed a process for automating much of the restoration process. Results so far can easily be described as spectacular.
