3M have three Models in their Digital Wall Display Plus 9000 Series.

9000PD Plus Digital Wall Display for Display

This product has is neither an electronic whiteboard or an interactive whiteboard. It is effectively a dry erase whiteboard you can project presentations on. Features include; an integrated projector, an erasable write-on screen and built in speakers.

9200iW Plus Digital Wall Display for Collaboration and Interaction

This product has interactive whiteboard functionality. Features include; an integrated projector, erasable write-on screen, built-in speakers, interactive whiteboard functionality and remote collaboration functionality

9200iC Plus Digital Wall Display for Collaboration and Interaction

This product has electronic and interactive whiteboard functionalities Features include; an integrated projector, erasable write-on screen, built-in speakers, interactive whiteboard functionality, remote collaboration functionality and Copyboard with color printer connection

All three of the digital wall displays have the projector integrated into a projection arm above the whiteboard. There are advantages to the projectors positioning directly above the interactive whiteboard including:

greater flexibility for the presenter moving around the board - without casting a shadow on the screen,
improved sound-to-image synchronization due to both audio and video sources being close together,
simplification of layout requirements for installation including projector positioning and cabling.

Digital Projector Features

The included DLP projector has a single 0.7 inch DMD from Texas Instruments with a native XGA resolution (1024×768 pixels). To achieve the feat of projecting from such a short distance at the end of the cantilever arm (and with significant vertical keystone correction) the projector most likely includes 3M’s own Vikuiti™ Super Close Projection technology. This technology is sold to SMART Technologies for integration into their Unifi projector for their interactive whiteboards (600i series).

The quoted contrast ratio is an acceptable 300:1 (typical) and 200:1 minimum.

Quoted projector lamp life is 1600 hours typical which shorter than competitors.

9200iW Plus Digital Wall Display for Collaboration and Interaction

The 9200iW has the following Interactive Whiteboard features:

Digital ink notes can be captured in color and saved in numerous file formats including; JPEG, GIF, TIFF, HTML, PDF, vector PDF, EPS, BMP 256 color, BMP monochrome,WBD) Powerpoint (ppt & pps) and metafile (wmf);
Computer mouse functions can be controlled with the digital presentation pen;
Text and drawings can be annotated on-line from remote locatons;
Interactive software is compatible with Microsoft NetMeeting;
The playback feature allows you to review all drawings on the board including erased items;
Many common business program format files can be imported including; PPT, BMP, GIF, JPEG, ICO, EMF, WMF, Microsoft Excel, Clipboard files) Microsoft Word (doc & rtf);
Software is Microsoft and Macintosh® compatible;
An on screen keyboard can be used for taking notes;

9200iC Plus Digital Wall Display for Collaboration and Interaction

The 9200iC Plus includes the interactive whiteboard features of the 9200iW Plus as well as the following electronic whiteboard features:

Whiteboard pens can be used to write or draw notes on the large 60 inch diagonal whiteboard surface
Notes can be printed directly from to a connected printer (USB connection, printer not included).
