Its something many e-paper developers have been striving for – color e-paper. LG. Philips LCD have announced today, May 13 2007, that they have developed an A4 size (14.1 inch) flexible color E-paper display. The A4 display uses electronic ink technology from E-Ink Cxorp.
A gamut of 4,096 colors can be reproduced and the display can be viewed from a full 180 degrees. LG.Philips LCD use a metal foil on a plastic substrate to produce a flexible display. According to LG. Philips LCD, the displays are extremely energy efficient and extremely thin (300 micrometers) with a display quality that rivals a printed page.
