June 5, 2007Sharp XR-40X, XR-30X, XR-30S Portable Projectors IntroducedThe three new lightweight DLP projectors expand Sharps range of lightweight Notevision portable projectors for business, education or mobile presenters. Sharp advertise them as suitable for data and video projection.
Both the XR-40X and XR-30X have native XGA9 native XGA (1024 x 768) resolution while the XR-30S has a lower specification native SVGA (800 x 600) resolution. The units can handle plenty of ambient light with the XR-40X having a brightness level of 2600 ANSI lumens and both the XR-30X and XR-30S having a brightness of 2300 ANSI lumens. A 3x speed 4-segment color wheel with an enhanced white color segment helps white level and brightness. Contrast ratios are also more than adequate at 2000:1 or over. At just over 6 pounds the new Sharp XR model projectors can be considered as portable. Sharp have made an effort to please presenters with faster start-up times, interactive on-screen help menus, full function remote with PC control, on-screen break timer plus pointer, resize and image freeze functions. With the Direct Power Off feature a presenter can make a quick get-away – hopefully for all the right reasons. Mobile presenters will appreciate the contamination protection of sealed optics All three models come backed by a one-year parts and labor limited warranty with a 90 day warranty on the lamp.
