The InFocus IN12 Work Big at 3.9 lbs (1.77 kg) light with notebook style slimness of 1.7 in (4.32 cm) can be considered an ultra portable projector. The notebook reminiscent form factor will allow mobile business professionals to carry it in their briefcase. An impressive form factor and weight have not eaten into the performance of the InFocus IN12. With a brightness of 2,000 ANSI lumens and a 1800:1 contrast ratio the projector will comfortably produce an acceptably bright image in even high ambient light conditions. The XGA resolution matches what the market expect for resolution for a business application projector.

The projector has a DLP projection engine powered by a 0.55” DMD from Texas Instruments. The color wheel is a 4 segment one rotating at 7200 RPM which should minimize the possibility of rainbow effects (separation of color components typically in fast moving video).

Set up Flexibility

InFocus have provided features to make setup easier such as; a wide-angle 1.4X zoom lens to make distance from the screen more flexible (between 1.25 ft (0.38 m) 25 ft (7.62 m) from the screen), motorized micro-adjustable focus, wireless infrared remote and digital vertical keystone correction (+/- 30°). In addition, the Infocus IN12 supports both front and rear projection.

The projectors noise level at 38 dB is on the higher side of expectations however, this seems to be common with ultra-portables probably due to the small form factor.

No filter cleaning maintenance is required as the IN12 features a filter-free system.
