In fact, the 42 inch TH-42PZ700U has recently been announced as a 2008 International CES Best of Innovations Design and Engineering Award honoree in the Video Displays category. Yet, your presentation slides should look professional for your business credibility. However, spending an inordinate amount of time creating something special is not a realistic approach. Using some professionally produced tools, themes and templates is an ideal approach. It’s a way to make it look like you’ve had a graphic artist working hard to create professionally designed slides when you have really achieved the effect with little effort. The only difference in specification between the PDP-5010FD and PDP-6010FD plasmas is the difference in screen sizes.
Pioneer have placed emphasis on black through all their marketing literature for their KURO plasma full definition TVs. KURO means black in Japanese,. Pioneers’ contention is that black gives each color greater definition, additional shades, more depth and the sharpest details. The Pioneer Elite KURO PRO-110FD Plasma television was recently judged a 2008 International CES Best of Innovations Design and Engineering Award honoree in the Video Displays category. Competing consumer electronics products are judged by a preeminent panel of independent industrial designers, independent engineers and members of the trade press. The most impressive products in each category are selected as honorees. The only difference in specification between the 110FD and the 1150FD plasmas is the larger 60 inch screen size.
The Pioneer Elite KURO PRO-110FD and 1150FD are both full 1080p resolution (1920 x 1080) having a 16:9 Wide-Screen Aspect Ratio. Improvements Pioneer have made from previous models include HDMI 1.3 with implementation of the Deep Color and CEC control support that this version provides. There have been further efforts put into reducing the possibility of burn-in effects. Not only does the KURO come with a built-in digital tuner, it also has a second to enable users to record a digital broadcast on a DVD recorder while viewing another digital broadcast. Important for low ambient light theaters, Pioneer’s remote control has an illuminated keypad. The dynamic contrast ratio for the 71 series LCD HDTVs is an impressive 25,000:1, providing ultra-black blacks.
Two other interesting features of this series are the inclusion of three of the latest version (3.1) HDMI (High Definition Multimedia Interface) inputs (one on the side) and a USB for convenience in tasks like plugging in a USB drive to view some photos on a large screen. The HDMI inputs allow simple connection of HD digital devices like cameras, camcorders, laptops, disc players, game consoles, and satellite dish components. To make operating your video equipment simpler Samsung have implemented the optional HDMI-CEC component of HDMI which allows global control all CEC-enabled peripherals. November 11, 2007Philips WOWvx 3D Display TechnologyThe 1950’s saw a rush of 3D technology productions to the big screen. Warner Bros released House of Wax in 1953 which coincidently was also one of the first features to have stereophonic sound. A later legendary SciFi hit, Creature from the Black Lagoon, was successful enough to spawn two sequels. The 3D star burnt bright for a time but, faded due to shortcomings such as; the requirement for two prints, difficult synchronization requirements and a limited field of view (due to angular darkening). 3D has had a long absence from cinema screens but, has recently made it back with releases such as Meet the Robinsons.
Common to all the 1950’s 3D feature films was the necessity for audiences to wear red and green lens glasses. Even then, they were not considered attractive or convenient. Is it possible to have a 3D display technology without glasses? A number of manufacturers have been working on such a 3D solution including Philips which has its’ WOWvx technology. Of note is the effort Mitsubishi have made to simplify set up and operation. All of the 831 series are Digital Cable Ready with a CableCARD slot and TV Guide On Screen. If you like to “set and forget” then you will like the fact that Mitsubishi provides individual customization for each video input source including color temperature, contrast and brightness. So, you don’t have to readjust every time you switch video sources. It’s also possible to save customizations for the three Day or Night modes. The 831 series come with two remotes – one fully illuminated which will control up to five devices attached to the Diamond TV and one simple remote.
Recommendations are something everyone looks for when making a purchase so it’s worth considering that Mitsubishi won this year’s Gold Award in Pacific Media Associates - North American Dealers Awards. Each year Pacific Media Associates conduct a survey of North American Dealers to rate large screen display manufacturers. The survey requires each dealer to rate each manufacturer on a broad range of relevant factors including products, marketing support, after-sale support, on-time delivery and end-user support. Some 25 different factors are rated and combined for an overall composite rating for each manufacturer. From a less technical, but practical, point of view one should consider that all three 833 series models share Mitsubishi’s super Thin Frame which is at least 25 percent less deep than previous models and can make positioning a larger screen HDTV easier.
