Optoma EP727 XGA 2200 Lumens Portable DLP Multimedia Data Projector Review

Optoma’s EP727 DLP multimedia projector has an excellent brightness of 2200 ANSI lumens suitable for the ambient light levels one would find in an office setting. Weighing only 4.4 lbs (2.0 kg) the EP7217 is very portable.

The EP721’s projection engine is based on 0.55” DLP chip Technology by Texas Instruments. It also has TI’s Brilliant Color technology which provides the excellent brightness and color reproduction. A high contrast ratio of 2200:1 (Full On/Full Off) provides better image quality and more detail in darker scenes.

Optoma has other portable multimedia data projectors and two of them are based on the same parts/features platform. Listed below are the distinguishing features of these other projectors and the EP727. For full details of the common features of these projectors see our review of the Optoma EP721 DLP projector.
