Optoma EP728 XGA 2700 Lumens Portable DLP Multimedia Data Projector Review

Optoma’s EP728 DLP multimedia projector for business has a very high brightness of 2700 ANSI lumens to cope with bright ambient light levels. It’s a easily portable unit weighing only 4.4 lbs (2.0 kg).

The EP728 is based on Texas Instrument’s 0.55 inch DLP chip technology. Having TI’s Brilliant Color technology helps the brightness levels and also the quality of color reproduction. The contrast ratio at 2200:1 (Full On/Full Off) is excellent for image quality and greater detail in darker scenes.

Optoma has other portable multimedia data projectors with two being based on the same parts/features platform. Listed below are the distinguishing features of these other projectors and the EP728. For full details of the common features of these projectors see our review of the Optoma EP721 DLP projector.
