September 2, 2009THX CertificationGaining THX Certification is a rigorous process and a significant accomplishment for any manufacturer. THX certification should give a consumer confidence that the display product they are purchasing has achieved a high performance benchmark.
THX have developed their own proprietary testing methodologies based on cinema, video and post-production standards. Testing performed is focused on both video signal processing and on-screen video reproduction analysis and is designed to ensure that each certified display can reproduce all HD and standard definition content at the maximum resolution with the correct color and luminance levels. Strict performance standards are specified by THX for display capabilities such as; black levels, resolution, contrast and color gamut. Signal processing tests also rigorously examine a display’s scaling, motion conversion and de-interlacing capabilities. 0 Comments »No comments so far. RSS feed for comments on this post.
