Sharp’s LE820UN Series 1080p 120Hz LED Edge-Lit LCD HDTV has its unique AQUOS Quattron Quad Pixel technology which has a fourth sub-pixel color, yellow, to the traditional RGB (red green blue) sub-pixels. Having the yellow filter allows the LE820UN series to display colors other LCD HDTVs cannot like sparkling golds, Caribbean blues and sunflower yellows. The Sharp LE820UN series is near identical to the flagship Sharp AQUOS LE920UN series apart from a slightly lower dynamic contrast ratio, slower 120Hz AquoMotion 120, no Vudu Apps download services and the WiFi adapter for a cordless Ethernet connection. Sharp LE820UN models have an attractive, full-front glass surface over the X-Gen LCD display.
