August 9, 2010Sharp AQUOS D68UT Series 1080p LCD HDTV ReviewThe Sharp AQUOS D68UT series Full HD (1080p) LCD HDTV is a more affordable LCD HDTV with all the rich detail that comes with full high definition. The Sharp D68UT models have a leading edge fast (4 ms) pixel response time which improves motion sharpness. The D68UT models have conventional (CCFL) fluorescent backlighting and while still delivering a good picture, do not deliver the same contrast ratio as the Sharp models with the more advanced X-Gen LCD display and LED backlighting such as the Sharp LE820UN. The Sharp D68UT series has two display sizes, the 40 inch LC-40D68UT and the 32 inch LC-32D68UT.
The D68UT models are identical to the D78UN models apart from not having AquoMotion 120 (Hz) to reduce blur and motion artifacts that come with the fast moving action of sports broadcasts and action programs. For full details of other features of the D68UT series read our review of the Sharp AQUOS D78UN models.
