Samsung’s D6000 series is one of the premium featured 1080P LED LCD HDTVs in this year’s Samsung’s range. The series has a good range of sizes with four models: the 55 inch UN55D6000, 46 inch UN46D6000, 40 inch UN40D6000 and the 32 inch UN32D6000. The D6000 models are Samsung’s Smart TVs with the Smart Hub which includes Samsung Apps, however a WiFi Adapter (optional) must be plugged into one of the three USB ports for Web access. Other features which make these models an entertainment hub are; AllShare (DLNA device connectivity) and ConnectShare (USB access). The series features Samsung’s new ONE Design with an ultra-thin bezel which delivers an extra inch of display for the same outside dimension.

The D6000 has identical features to the recently reviewed D6500 LED LCD HDTVs apart from lack 3D enabling, no Skype, no built-in WiFi and Motion Rate 240 rather than 600. The lower Motion Rater figure means that there is a slightly higher likelihood of seeing motion blurring during heavy on-screen action scenes. Unlike the D6500, the D6000 has a swivel stand which will swing 10 degrees to the left or right. The 32 inch model is of a size where it could be used as a monitor having PC connection capability.
