 Panasonic’s VIERA GT30 Full HD 3D HDTV series is one ot its new plasma models for 2011. Plasma HDTVs provide blur free rendering of fast action scenes and are the first choice for 3D playback. The GT30 series features larger screen sizes from 50 to 65 inches Notable features of the GT30 include; THX Certification, Infinite Black 2 Panel, VIERA Connect, Wi-Fi Ready with LAN (through USB port), Skype Video calling, 3D VIERA Image Viewer to view JPEG 2D digital still images, 3D digital still images and both 2D & 3D HD video recorded on an SD Memory card, DLNA, VIERA link, 4 HDMI connections, 3 USB ports, fast switching display phosphor and 600Hz Sub-field drive.
 Panasonic’s ST30 Full HD 3D HDTV is one of three new plasma HDTV models for 2011 which build on the reputation of Panasonic’s TC-P50VT25 was judged “Best Product of the Show” at last years CES. The ST30 series includes the 65 inch TC-P65ST30, 60 inch TC-P60ST30, 55 inch TC-P55ST30, 50 inch TC-P50ST30, 46-inch TC-P46ST30 and 42 inch TC-P42ST30. Features of the ST30 include; Infinite Black 2 Panel, VIERA Connect, Wi-Fi Ready with LAN (through USB port), Skype Video calling, 3D VIERA Image Viewer to view JPEG 2D digital still images, 3D digital still images and both 2D & 3D HD video recorded on an SD Memory card, DLNA, VIERA link, 3 HDMI connections, 2 USB ports, fast switching display phosphor and 600Hz Sub-field drive.
 NuVision’s Lucidium FX10 LS series is its first 3D 1080P LCD HDTV with the super slim profile (1.5 inches) that an edge lit LED panel allows. Display sizes range from 40 through to 55 inches. The FX10 models feature 10 bit / 1.07 billion color signal processing, 240Hz and NuVision’s NiDO video processing and Deep Black enhancement which all combine to produce the superior image quality for which NuVision has become respected for. The black brushed aluminium finish gives the impression of quality which was no doubt intended. NuVision’s line of premium HDTVs are only available through specially nominated suppliers.
 How to the two competing 3D display technologies – passive (polarisation) and active (liquid crystal shutter) compare?
 The LG INFINIA LW6500 series LED backlit, 3D enabled, LCD, 1080p SmartTV has TruMotion 240Hz, local dimming, DLNA and WiFi connectivity (adaptor included) along with energy savings features. The series covers the mid range sizes and includes three models; the 47 inch 47LW6500, 55 inch 55LW6500 and 65 inch 65LW6500. The LW6500 models deliver an excellent dynamic contrast ratio of 9 million:1 (thanks to local dimming). The feature most shoppers will be looking for is described by LG as SmartTV. Using a simple interface with a wand style remote (similar to the Wii remote) users can access near limitless content including movies, customizable apps, videos and the Web.

The LW5600 models deliver an excellent dynamic contrast ratio of 8 million:1 (thanks to the addition of local dimming) which supports the excellent picture quality. The feature most shoppers will be looking for is described by LG as SmartTV. Using a simple interface with a wand style remote, users can access near limitless content including movies, customizable apps, videos and the Web.
 Samsung’s D6300 series is one of the premium featured 3D enabled 1080P LED LCD HDTVs in Samsung’s 2011 range. There are three models – the 55 inch UN55D6300, 46 inch UN46D6300 and the 40 inch UN40D6300.  Samsung’s D6400 series is one of the premium featured 1090P LED LCD 3D enabled HDTVs in Samsung’s 2011 range. There are three models – the 55 inch UN55D6400, 46 inch UN46D6400 and the 40 inch UN40D6400. The D6400 are one of Samsung’s Smart TVs with the Smart Hub which includes Samsung Apps however a WiFi Adapter (optional) must be plugged into one of the three USB ports for Web access. Other features which make these models an entertainment hub are; AllShare (DLNA device connectivity) and ConnectShare (USB access). The series features Samsung’s new ONE Design with an ultra-thin bezel which delivers more screen area for the same outside dimension.
