 The LG INFINIA LX9500 series is LG’s flagship LED LCD Full HD (1080p) HDTV was a CNet Best of CES 2010 nominee. The series is the only 3D ready (no 3D glasses included) one offered by LG and includes only two models; the 47 inch 47LX9500 and the 55 inch 55LX9500. Through local dimming these models are able to achieve a dynamic contrast ratio of 10 million:1 which is the highest quoted value we have seen in a specification to date and a fivefold improvement from last years models.

 LG’s LH85 1080p LCD HDTV series is one of its premium LCD series which utilise a conventional CCFL backlight. The LH85 models differs little from the LH50 series or LH55 with those models having NetCast and 240Hz TruMotion Drive as differentiators instead of Wireless Connectivity. LH85 models have 120Hz TruMotion Drive rather than the 240Hz of the LH55. The LH85 series delivers good image quality for a more affordable price than a higher performance Plasma or LED LCD HDTV. Underlying the good picture performance is a high dynamic contrast ratio of 80,000:1.
 LG’s LH55 1080p LCD HDTVs are at the premium end of LG’s LCD range which utilize a conventional CFC backlight. It differs little from the LH50 series or LH85 with those models having NetCast and Wireless Connectivity as differentiators. The LH55 models deliver a good quality image for a more affordable price than the better performing LED backlit and Plasma HDTVs. Underlying the good picture performance is a dynamic contrast ratio of 80,000:1.
 LG’s LH50 1080p LCD HDTV models are essentially identical to the recently reviewed LG LH40 models with the addition of NetCast Entertainment Access via an include Ethernet port. The LG LH50 series includes the 55 inch 55LH50, 47 inch 47LH50 and the 42 inch 42LH50.
 LG’s LH40 Full HD 1080p LCD HDTV series offers three primary additional features over its recently reviewed, lesser featured LH30 sibling; TruMotion 120Hz for motion blur reduction, USB 2.0 for access to digital music and photos (MP3, JPEG) as well as Intelligent Sensor for energy saving through backlight control. Improved performance includes a very fast 2.7 ms response time (vs 5ms for LG entry models LH30 and LH20) for sharper on screen motion. Contrast ratio is one of the underlying foundations for picture quality and the LG LH40 has an excellent dynamic contrast ratio of 70,000:1.
 LG’s LH30 Full HD 1080p LCD HDTV series is the one level up from the entry level LH20 models with the most important difference being the move to Full HD from 720p HD. This is a very price competitive and offer good value for a near entry level model. There is a range of screen sizes including the 47 inch 47LH30, 42 inch 42LH30, 37 inch 37LH30 and 32 inch 32LH30.
 LG’s LH20 720p LCD HDTV models are the entry level LCD series HDTV for LG. They are very price competitive and offer good value for an entry level model. There is a wide range of screen sizes including the 42 inch 42LH20, 37 inch 37LH20, 32 inch 32LH20, 26 inch 26LH20, 22 inch 22LH20 and 19 inch 19LH20.
 LG’s LH90 LED LCD Full HD (1080p) HDTV series includes the 42 inch 42LH90, 47 inch 47LH90 and 55 inch 55LH90 all of which have a very thin side profile. The LH90 models bring all the advantages of their LED backlighting. Importantly, they also feature local dimming whereby LED lamps individually control brightness across the display. As a consequence, these models have an extremely high 2,000,000:1 contrast ratio, excellent black levels and picture quality.
 The PQ30 HD 720p HDTV series (50 inch 50PQ30 and 42 inch 42PQ30) offer the detail of HD (720p) along with a high contrast ratio for excellent picture quality, good connectivity options and a well featured audio system. Also notable is the convenience provided by Picture Wizard for simple user calibration.
 The PS60 series Full HD 1080p plasma HDTV offers the sharp detail of Full HD along with the assurance of quality provided by THX Certification. Also notable is the convenience provided by Picture Wizard for simple user calibration.
 The PS80 series (60 inch 60PS80 and 50 inch 50PS80) Full HD 1080p plasma HDTV offers the sharp detail of Full HD along with the assurance of quality provided by THX Certification. It’s prime distinguishing features however, focus around multimedia and Ethernet (Internet) access.
